Defibrillator (AED)

The Club has an automated external debrillator (AED) on site.

It is located in the clubhouse, on the right as you go through the door.

An AED is a portable device that checks the heart rhythm and if needed, it can send an electric shock to the heart to try and restore a normal rhythm.  It is simple to use and is designed to be adminstered without any training. A calming voice talks the user through every step and if the casualty has a heartbeat, the device will not work so there is no risk of shocking the patient.

You can view a demonstration video on how to use our AED here.

Committee update:   As you all know,  last year Nick handed over the coaching mantle to Craig.  He has now decided to stand down from the committee.  Nick has contributed to the Club for over 20 years in his capacity as coach, mentor, tennis expert and supplier of equipment at Halton prices, but he will not leave entirely as he will continue to support our junior Saturday morning program. In recognition for all he has done for the Club we have made him a lifetime member and he has also expressed an interest in playing for some of our older teams if time permits.  On behalf of all current and past members it’s a big Thank You from all of us!

Colin Chamberlain, our Club Welfare Officer has agreed to become a full committee member.  We welcome him onboard.  Our next committee meeting is Weds 26th Feb.  If anyone would like to raise anything, please email:  rebrose11@sky.com
