Club Committee 

In order to improve communication and increase understanding of how the club works, we have started listing the responsibilities of each member of the committee.

Martyn Hewitt (Chair)

•    Chairs our committee meetings
•    Co-ordinates the supply of tennis balls for club nights 
•    Co-ordinate the Alice Pratt trophy 
•    Overall responsibility for the day to day management of the club
•    Co-ordinating appropriate responses to events that affect or happen to club members 
•    Registration with LTA and Kent Tennis

Jonathan Dearth (Vice-Chair)

•    Oversees the club tournament, Doubles Tennis League and one of our league teams. 
•    Produces club enewsletter to members and to reactivate former members
•    Assists the Membership & Website Officer with membership promotion
•    Ensure the club is represented appropriately in available team competitions

Colin Williams (Maintenance and Club Development)

•    Develop and maintain the facilities on offer. 
•    Liaise with contractors for maintenance and repair of courts, floodlights, fencing, clubhouse, leaf clearing
•    Obtain quotations for major refurbishment of courts, fencing, etc.

•    Make repairs to and replace court equipment – nets, centre bands, etc. 
•    Court booking administration

Monika Rese (Finance)

•    Keep up to date records of all financial transactions
•    Reports regularly to the management committee on the financial status 
•    Prepares year end statements of accounts

Simon Wilson (Membership & Website)

•    Oversees all membership issues including leading on promoting membership externally
•    Oversees  LTA Clubspark operations, including the website. 
•    To raise the profile of the club locally 
•    Maintain email mailing lists for sending informational bulk emails to members as required
•    Co-ordinates Singles Box League
•    First point of contact for all enquiries

Alan Barnett (Welfare & Safeguarding)

•    To implement and promote policies relating to child protection, working with young people, adults at risk, equality and diversity, etc.

•    To act as a point of contact for any child protection or adult at risk concerns

•    To record any concerns reported to you in relation to children, young people and adults at risk on the Safeguarding Concern Form and forward to the Safeguarding Team for reference or for matter to be escalated
•    To communicate with the LTA over child protection and adult at risk cases 
•    Health & Safety issues
