Welfare

We are firmly committed to the welfare and well-being of all our members. In line with LTA policy we have a trained Welfare Officer (Alison McMichael) on our tennis committee. Alison has  undertaken all relevant LTA training and is DBS checked. She is supported in her role by our Tennis Secretary (Julie Drinkall).

If you have any concerns about the welfare or well-being of any children or vulnerable adults at Broughton and District Tennis Club please raise them by sending an email to safeguarding@broughtonanddistrictclub.co.uk

If the matter is urgent, or you would rather talk it through, then Alison can be contacted via  07877 782 354

You can also report a safeguarding concern directly to the LTA here https://safeguardingconcern.lta.org.uk/

(A safeguarding concern could involve an allegation of abuse or being worried that a child or adult at risk (as defined by the Care Act 2014) may be at risk of harm or may have been harmed.

If your concern relates to abuse of a child or adult at risk this would be investigated by the LTA Safeguarding Team. If the report relates to a low-level concern, it may be that  the LTA would use the report for recording/information purposes or provide advice/support for the matter to be dealt with locally by the club.)
