We are delighted to announce that we have changed our name in line with the main sports club to Bushy Park Tennis Club.

While the tennis section is incredibly proud of our heritage (we began as the sports club for the National Physical Laboratory), a recent poll showed that our previous name - NPL Tennis Club - was confusing for potential new members who thought that we were only open to NPL employees, friends and family members.

The club's current chair, Philippa Godden told us:

Our new name doesn't just reflect the lovely setting we are lucky enough to enjoy, it also reflects the friendly, accessible nature of the club that we feel is so important to attract and retain members.

So, rest assured that while the tennis club has a new name, our fantastic facilities and a warm welcome remain for anyone who'd likes to play tennis here.
