Success Again for Cerney Lakes Tennis Club Women's B team

Top of their division for the third year running!  These B team women once again deliver A plus results.

“We began as a new team in 2015 and were determined to play the best tennis we could.  We love the game, so committing to some coaching, lots of practice, combined with a great team spirit was easy” said captain Wendy Murphy.

The squad of 6 determined women won division 6 of the Dunlop Gloucestershire League in 2015, division 5 in 2016 and division 4 this summer. 

Champions 3 years in a row is testament to the dedication of these players,  it also demonstrates how a small (2 court) club can produce winning teams.

Entering division 3 offers another exciting challenge for this local club and the opportunity for some great tennis.

Cerney Lakes Tennis Club is a small and friendly tennis club situated on the outskirts of South Cerney.   

‘We have 2 decent courts, great parking and a small clubhouse, and coaching for those who want it.  But most of all it is, as ever, the people who make it work.  We have a lot of laughter!  said Lynne Armstrong-Hobbs, membership secretary.
