What's Your Number?
The International Tennis Number (ITN) represents a player's general level of play. It is a rating system similar to a golf handicap. Following an on-court assessment, based on 5 set tasks, a player is given a score. The score achieved can be converted to a rating from 1 - 10 with 1 being an elite/high performance player,(holding an ATP / WTA ranking or of an equivalent playing standard) and 10 being a player that is starting to play competitively (can serve and return) on a full court using a normal ITF approved ball.
If interested, ask the coaches to set up an on-court challenge to obtain your ITN.

How the ITN Challenge will operate at Cowbridge
Players will be offered the opportunity to undertake an on-court tennis challenge involving 5 components of the game of tennis - groundstroke depth & power, groundstroke accuracy & power, volley depth & power, serve accuracy & mobility. There is no requirment for anyone who doesn't wish to take part in the ITN challenge to do so. As mentioned above this challenge is completely voluntary. The on court challenge will generate a score for each player. More importantly, the challenge will allow a player to track and record their development and improvement by identifying their strengths & weaknesses. The challenge could be undertaken multiple times in order to check on progress & improvement over time.
All new members will be offered the opportunity to undertake an ITN on-court challenge.
