When does membership run?

The membership year runs from 1 May 2024 through until 30 April 2025 - but don't let that put you off - you can join anytime during the year!

Rates are reduced pro-rata each quarter (Aug 1, Nov 1, Feb 1) for NEW members joining part-way through the year.

How much does membership cost?

We have very competitive annual membership fees and cater for singles, couples and families:

• Adult (over 18 years) = £50
• Family/ Household (2 adults + your children up to the age of 18, or 21 if in full time education; children aged 12 and under must be accompanied by their responsible adult on the courts) = £80
• Junior (age 0-18 years) (under 12 years to be accompanied on court by an Adult member) = £15
• Associate (you don't play but want to support our village tennis club / upkeep of the courts) = £15

Benefits of joining Doveridge Tennis Club

Members of the Club benefit from:

• FREE use of the courts whenever they are available
• 1 key (per person/ family membership) for accessing the courts NB. This is to be returned at the end of the membership year and exchanged for a new key; additional £5 key charge will apply upon loss of key
• FREE social tennis sessions on Tuesday/ Wednesday evenings (6pm - dusk) and Sunday mornings (11am - 1pm)
• Getting to know other members of our lovely village and the surrounding area, whilst keeping fit and having fun, through social/ competitive tennis
• Enrollment in the Club's WhatsApp group/s to enable easy arrangement of social tennis, membership events and competitions/ matches
• Priority coaching bookings, cardio tennis and reduced coaching fees and reduced prices for club events/ internal "tournaments"
• Qualification to play for tennis club teams in the Burton and Derby leagues, at a level to suit you
• FREE Advantage Tennis Membership through the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA)
• FREE International Tennis Federation (ITF) World Tennis Number (you can get a World Ranking ;-)
• Entry into our annual Wimbledon draw (you need to be registered with the LTA as an Advantage Tennis Member)
• The knowledge that you are helping to support the maintenance and upkeep of the tennis courts in our lovely village - thank you!

Important information to help you with your membership application:

PARENTS - Please create an LTA login in YOUR NAME first and then apply for membership in your child's name, adding their details as part of this process.

When creating an account, please select the "Register with LTA" option. Follow the process and join the LTA as a FREE "ADVANTAGE PLAY +" member. This will give you a British Tennis Number for tracking your rating in tournaments and enable you to “Opt In” to the Wimbledon ballot and buy tickets for Tennis events.  Again, if you already have an LTA account for your child, please ALSO create one for yourself as a parent for logging in to club services. All payments are now made at the time of membership using a credit or debit card.
