Club Championship

The weather was in the club’s favour this year! Great weather, lots of fun and fantastic tennis matches. Well done to all that participated in this years championship and congratulations to the 2024 winners:​

• Men's Singles – Calum Lang beat Oliver Fourie (2-0)​
• Ladies Singles – Elizabeth McAuley beat Sophia Palmieri (2-1)​
• Men's Doubles – Calum Lang & Radek Penar beat Bob Wight & Oliver Fourie (2-0)​
• Ladies Doubles – Helen Greig & Lucy McConville beat Nadia Drennan & Sophia Palmieri (2-0)​
• Mixed Doubles – Elizabeth McAuley & Ronnie Cochrane beat William Barclay & Alice Barclay (2-1)

Junior Club Championship

Saturday 21st September for Green Ball, Red Ball, Orange Ball, Yellow Ball (Boys under 18 & Girls under 14s). ​

• Please ensure all juniors and kids are registered for the championship day.​

U18s Boys

U14s Boys

There are opportunities for our U14’s boys to play in a league competition, dates are:​

• 5th October, away to Cambuslang​
• 26th October, home to Lenzie​
• 9th November, away to Lanark​
• TBC, home to Stepps

U9s Girls

• For U9’s girls there are matches, being held at David Lloyd in Renfrew on Saturdays 9th, 16th, 23rd 30th November and 7th and 14th December​

Mens Senior Team

Coaching Update​

• Peggy is back, lessons every Thursday​
• Adults from 5.30pm to 6.30pm​
• Junior over 12s from 6.30pm to 7pm​
• £20 per person per month, paid to the normal EK tennis account​

• The club is in discussion with the West of Scotland association for a new coach. To help with the appointment, can you share your thoughts on the following:​
• Your tennis coaching needs and availability?​
• Your need for a fitness coach?​
• Please pass you details to Connie.

Fund Raising

Raffle will take place at the Junior Championship, donations welcome and make sure you purchase plenty of tickets.​

The Tennis club is looking for new members and sponsorship, any suggestions welcome. Please contact Colin and William.​

Court Maintenance

To keep the courts in the best condition, they require regular maintenance, the club is looking for helpers on the 6th October. Please support and let Drew know your availability.​
