24-Hour Tennis Marathon

Frampton-on-Severn Tennis club was invited to take part in a very unique tennis challenge to help raise funds to enable the club to provide disabled access and tennis facilities for disability tennis.

On weekend of 20 and 21st February 8 of our members Mike John, Giovanni Sangovanni, Ellie Merrett, Kate Merrett, John Brierly, Kieran Bartlet, Paul Boon and Jason Boon from Frampton-on-Severn Tennis Club took part in a 24 hour tennis marathon at the National Tennis Centre in Roehampton, playing against ex Davis Cup players Danni Sapsford, Luke Milligan, Dan Lobb and Jeremey Bates. The effort from 8 of our members has raised over £3000 for the club. John Brierly and Jason Boon also managed to raise  more money by hitting serves reaching speeds of 90MPH
