How to use the floodlights

  1. Purchase tokens from the Village Stores.
  2. One token costs £2 and lasts half an hour.
  3. Please use the FAR court (nearest the Bowling Club) first, to keep away from the neighbours wherever possible.
  4. Insert token(s) into the side of the meter.
  5. The lights will come on slowly – they take about 5 minutes to warm up.
  6. Play and enjoy!
  7. A light on the court side will flash a few minutes before the token runs out, giving you time to put in another token if you want to.
  8. When the main lights go out, one light (between the two courts) will remain on for a few minutes, to allow you to find you way off court before you are plunged into darkness.
  9. The outside light on the Clubhouse has a timer on it too, to allow you to lock up and walk out of the court with the light on.
  10. If an override key is used (by match managers and coaches) please ensure that the lights are switched OFF before you leave (otherwise they will come on at odd hours during the following day!).
  11. The lights should automatically switch off at 10pm – the latest time we are allowed to have them on.
