Tennis For Free at Heavitree Pleasure Ground!

Tennis For Free is a charity established to bring FREE coach-led sessions to local parks and venues. 

We believe that FREE sport should be accessible to everyone in our public parks, we integrate all sections of the community supporting both physical and mental health on an often under used sporting facility.

TFF Every Saturday 10-11am

Join our weekly Tennis For Free sessions available to all ages and standards of player.

A fun & engaging session with our coaches, available to everyone! We also run a separate session for junior players, led by a qualified LTA accredited coach.

All participants must register for each session. Please ensure to register in good time so we can plan the sessions around the number of players. Thank you!

Adult tennis at Heavitree Pleasure Grounds!

We run tennis throughout the week for adults of all abilities and experience. Whether you're hitting forehands like Federer, kick serves like Kyrigios or if you're new to tennis, everyone is welcome to join us!

We run five sessions throughout the week:

• Beginners – for players who are new to tennis or want to work on the “fundamental skills” (Thursday 6-7pm)
• Returners – for players who have played tennis in the past, but haven’t played in a while and want to get back into it (Tuesday 6-7:30pm)
• Improvers – for players who can rally consistently and want to play more points-based games (Monday 6-7:30pm)
• Ladies tennis – for female players, led by female coaches (Thursday 7-8pm)
• Cardio tennis – a fun fitness session, with a tennis twist! (Friday 11-12pm)

All of our sessions are run by LTA Accredited coaches with relevant experience.

Junior coaching at Heavitree Pleasure Ground!

Our junior programme is led by LTA accredited and qualified coaches, who have extensive experience working with juniors in tennis.

There is a session for every age group, so do have a look below! As a rough guide, please see below for the approximate ages for each group. They serve only as a guideline and if you are unsure, please feel free to email the Lead Coach, J.J. via jj@heavitreetennis.com.
