National School Sports Week,  primary school tennis taster sessions, Wednesday 19th June 2024

As part of National School Sports Week our coach Paul Mannion ran two sessions with Years 3 and 4 from our local primary school. There was a great turn out and impressive enthusiasm from all the children, some of whom have now joined up for more lessons. A great initiative, we aim to support this event every year and it proves very popular with the children, many of whom have gone on to play tennis regularly. 

Club open day, Sunday 29th June 2024

We had a fun afternoon and great support for our annual open day on the 29th June. This was a chance for potential new members to come down and visit the club, have a play and meet our committee and members. The rain held off (just) and we welcomed some new faces to the courts. Always a fun and popular afternoon. 

Fun tournament, 4th August 2024

We had a fantastic afternoon at our latest social tournament on Sunday 4th August. Great tennis. Great people. Well done to all our winners and thanks to everyone who came down to take part.

'Summer' BBQ, 22nd September 2024

Our second attempt at our summer BBQ (postponed due to thunderstorms earlier in the month) and despite the inevitable rain we had a great turn out and actually managed some doubles play and a proper catch up with yummy food and a musical interlude! Thanks to everyone who made the afternoon happen and to all who turned up to support the event.
