Festive social tournament, Sunday 10th December 2024
The Christmas jumpers and elf ears were out in force for our annual Christmas celebrations. Lots of great tennis, fun quiz and festive treats. Congratulations to our winners and thanks to everyone who was involved in organising and who came along to take part. A fantastic afternoon and a good way to kick off the countdown to Christmas.
Spring clean and tidy, Sunday 30th March 2025
Our amazing club members came together to give the courts, clubhouse and grounds a Spring clean in advance of the summer league season. Our new (Daz white) nets also went up. Great job everyone!
Introduction to pickleball, Sunday 11th May 2025
Our members had a fun afternoon being shown the ropes by our pickleballers extraodinaire Gill and Peter.
National School Sports Week, primary school tennis taster sessions, Thursday 19th June 2025
As part of National School Sports Week our coach Paul Mannion ran two sessions with Years 3 and 4 from our local primary school. There was a great turn out and impressive enthusiasm from all the children, some of whom have now joined up for more lessons. A great initiative, we aim to support this event every year and it proves very popular with the children, many of whom have gone on to play tennis regularly.
100th birthday celebrations and open day, Sunday 29th June 2025
Our little club turned 100 this year. We celebrated with members past and present, young and old, reminices, and had lots of fun on and off the courts. Here's to the next 100 years!!
Summer tournament and BBQ, Sunday 21st September 2025
After a couple of rain delays we managed to squeeze in our summer tournament and BBQ before autumn descended. A great afternoon of tennis and bonding over burgers and beer. Congrats to our tournament winners.
