Welcome to Higher Poynton Tennis Club, the best kept community sporting secret in Poynton!
Introduction
Higher Poynton Tennis Club is a friendly local club established in 1925. It has a long history of providing tennis in the local community. Access to the club is down a footpath between numbers 7and 9 Carleton Road SK12 1TL.
We are not a competitive club, but we do actively promote social tennis and we welcome players of all abilities and ages. We have a cosy club house with changing facilities and a small kitchen. refreshments of tea, coffee and juice are free and always avaliable.
We are in a super location, so check out our playing timetable and come and say hello, the kettle is always on!

New to HPTC- Walking Tennis!
If you are looking for a gentler pace of play, then this could be for you! Perhaps you are just starting out and want to build confidence, or you are returning from injury, or you just need a bit more time to get to the ball…. come along and enjoy a lower impact, sociable tennis session in our beautiful setting. Play singles or doubles, or just for fun, it does not matter what standard you are, we will show you all the ropes! Join us Wednesdays 10am – 12pm, sessions are open to all, including non-members at our standard visitors £5 fee. No need to book, just Walk In!
