With an eight-court floodlit facility (4 hard courts & 4 artificial grass courts) situated on the banks of the Royal Military Canal in the historic market town of Hythe; we are a welcoming, family-friendly community tennis club, open to players of all ages (4 - 80+) and abilities.
Whether you are a complete beginner or used to play and would like to get back into tennis, are looking for a fun way to keep fit or would like to play competitively, we have something to offer you.
Our members come from all walks of life and new members are always given a warm welcome. Join us and enjoy our fantastic facilities and a vibrant social scene too!

The club is open daily between 7am – 10pm. Access to the club is secured and the gate code is issued to all members
Members may book courts up to 2-weeks in advance using the tab in the navigation bar above or via the ClubSpark Booker App
One court booking per member per day for a maximum of 90-minutes and free use of the floodlights
Guests are welcome to play at the club on a ‘Pay & Play’ basis (by invite of full adult/student members only)
Social Tennis at HLTC no need to book, just turn up and play! All levels welcome (full adult/student/trial & junior senior status members only)
There is a Practice Fence on court 8 and a Stringing Service is available
Between 01 April - 30 September, a Slinger Ball Machine is available to hire (full adult/student members only)
Please respect others and the Club Rules & Code of Conduct / Safeguarding Policies. As a club we contribute actively to enable more people to play tennis more often in a manner that is safe, inclusive and fair.
During the summer months the hard courts (1 - 4) may feel a little "sticky" and the risk of tripping increases - please wear flat soled (all-court) tennis shoes on all courts
Closed circuit television (CCTV) is installed at the Club for the purpose of members and visitors safety and premises security. Images and audio from the static cameras are recorded
