About Hythe LTC

Established in 1889, Hythe LTC is one of the oldest clubs in the world and we are very proud to still be providing tennis facilities for the local community & visitors to the town.
Situated on the banks of the Royal Military Canal, we are a welcoming, family-friendly, community tennis club open to players of all ages (4 - 80+) and abilities.
What we offer
HLTC is a non-profit Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), run by our members for our members situated in the Cinque Port town of Hythe in Kent, providing excellent tennis facilities including; 8 floodlit all-weather courts, a practice fence, ball machine, fully equipped kitchen, ladies & gents changing rooms, a meeting room, wi-fi, terrace area, wheelchair access and free on-site parking.
We offer a number of ways to enjoy tennis. For juniors we have individual and group coaching sessions as well as the chance to participate in fun tournaments and school holiday clubs. For adults there are a range of individual and group coaching sessions available for beginners through to advanced players, a weekly Ladies Morning and regular Drills & Doubles coaching sessions.
There's plenty of opportunity to play for the club's teams. We also run fun social mix-in sessions twice a week where you can meet and play against other members and we organise various tournaments throughout the year. Bursaries are available on application to make tennis more accessible by helping to cover the cost of membership or equipment.
Hythe LTC received the Hythe Civic Award in 2009.
Hythe Lawn Tennis Club has provided social and competitive tennis to the local area for over 125 years. We have significantly upgraded our facilities over the last few years with support from the LTA, Sport England and Kent County Council.
