What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
Red ball rally is for players that have progressed through stage 2 of SYSTEM-9 and are now working on forehands and backhands. It is played on smaller courts with shorter rackets and slower balls to enable time to attain the technique and tactics to move to different levels. We will be using the SYSTEM-9 tennis progressions that aids learning to play tennis quicker once players have good sending and receiving or moving, throwing and catching skills. NB. It is cheaper to join the club as a junior in the long run!
