Safeguarding Summary Statement
Leeds Legends Tennis Club is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone who takes part in our activities. Although our club currently has no junior members, we recognise our responsibility to safeguard all adults, including those who may be more vulnerable due to personal circumstances, health, disability or isolation.
We have a qualified Welfare Officer, Deborah Fraites, as confirmed during LTA registration communications, and we follow the safeguarding standards required by the Lawn Tennis Association. All members, volunteers and visitors are expected to treat one another with respect and to support a culture where safety, wellbeing and good conduct are prioritised.
If you ever have a concern—whether about behaviour, welfare or safety—you can speak confidentially to our Welfare Officer, contact the LTA Safeguarding Team, or seek help from the relevant authorities. Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and together we ensure LLTC remains a safe and supportive place to play tennis.
