Bonfire & fireworks event is bang on

The weather was good, which always helps an outdoor event, and with several local events cancelled it certainly looked like we had  record-breaking attendance . As an outdoor event with plenty of space for peopel to spread out - and they did, court 1 was in full use as well as the large grassed area in front of the clubhouse.

Such events don’t happen by accident. The following is a list of those who gave their time for free to ensure the evening ran smoothly, some of them aren’t even currently members so a special thank you to them.

Special thanks to Mark Harby pictured in full protective gear for his onion peeling duties

As well as their ‘on night duties’ many of the same individuals were involved in preparations including: promoting the event, baking the jacket potatoes, preparing the onions, buying supplies, cooking pots of chilli and making toffee apples and bonfire toffee.
