On a lovely summers' day Meldreth Tennis Club held their annual croquet tournament at Richard & Frances's.  The croquet was very competitive and after three rounds the four top players,  Peter & Christine Knight, Ann Bannister & Ralph Betts played a final deciding round.   After all the afternoon's points were added, Ralph came out on top winning a bottle of wine with Ann 2nd winning the chocolates.    The afternoon tea was delicious as usual and a special cake was presented to Richard Phillips, who celebrates his 80th birthday later this month.
