Schools Coaching

 

We currently run both curriculum and after-school club tennis sessions in over 15 schools, pre-schools and nurseries throughout North Buckinghamshire, Milton Keynes and Bedfordshire.  We provide the coach and all of the equipment for an hour's long mini tennis lesson using mini nets, low compression red balls and rackets for the children.  We coach children from the age of four upwards.

Secondary Schools -Ousedale Newport Pagnell. Walton High

Infant and Primary Schools - Summersfield School, Stoke Goldington, Lavendon, Holne Chase, Tickford Park, North Crawley, Green Park, Turvey and Olney Infant Academy.

Special Schools -Slated Row, The Walnuts & The Redway

Funding for Schools

As an all-embracing organisation, MK Inclusive Tennis aims to bring tennis to primary schools in all areas of Milton Keynes.  Some of the schools that we have worked with have a high proportion of socially or financially disadvantaged children within their catchment and as a result we have, in the past managed to secure funding from the Milton Keynes Community Foundation to offer these sessions for free.

Children within these schools, without our actions, would otherwise not have the chance to try out a sport, which encourages:

  • respect
  • sportsmanship
  • discipline, and
  • higher self-esteem.

So far we have operated in the following schools with funding from Milton Keynes Community Foundation:

Funded Schools - Jubilee Wood, Charles Warren Academy, New Chapter, Falconhurst, Wood End First School, Stanton School, Pepper Hill School, Langlands School, Barleyhurst Park School, Chestnuts Primary School, Bushfield School, Greenleys Junior School, Coldharbour School and Holne Chase School.
