As the accompanying photo amply illustrates, there is literally nothing more festive than the annual ladies Christmas social tennis tournament. Taking inspiration from random elements of the traditional nativity, several of the brightest shining stars came from afar bearing fragrant gifts. Then, shepherded by a solitary wise man wrapped in swaddling clothes, they did play out a tennis competition of biblical proportions before they doth indulge in much feasting and merriment. All of which adds up to a joyous celebration of peace and goodwill which goes to remind us of the true meaning of Christmas. Which is pretty impressive work for a Monday morning. Thanks everybody!
