What can we say about this weekend's fun tournament that hasn't already been said?! It's not easy but the beauty of the fun tournaments is their reliability in delivering what's promised. Yes, we had a full line-up of jovial and attractive tennis players. Yes, it looked like rain but turned out nice. Yes, key personnel in the shape of tournament director Derek Edwards and premier chef de cuisine en plein air John Halliday diligently marshalled and catered for the masses with their customary aplomb. And, yes, fun was had by the bucketload. All the usual boxes ticked then and for that we are truly thankful.
All that remains now is the announcement of the deserving tournament winner.
