Going into the summer, we'll have ten weekly sessions taking place with our Level 3 qualified coach, Jack Edward.

All sessions must be booked in advance. 

Social Tennis (Wednesday 6.15pm-8pm & Friday 10.30am-12pm, FREE for members + £5 for non-members)

Social Tennis is an opportunity for players of all standards to attend a coach supervised session who will organise game play and match up players with appropriate partners and opponents.

A great way to meet new people and enjoy some social tennis. Please book your session if you would like to attend.

Open to adults and young adults (13+). FREE to members and £5 for non-members.

Weegie Whackers LGBTQIA+ Social Tennis (Tuesday 6pm-7.30pm, FREE for members + £5 for non-members)

Weegie Whackers LGBTQIA+ Social Tennis is an opportunity for players of all standards to attend a coach supervised sessions. Sessions take place on Tuesdays 6pm-7.30pm.

A great way to enjoy some social tennis in a safe space for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Please book your session if you would like to attend. FREE to members and £5 per session for non-members.

Red Ball Tennis (Wednesday 3.45pm-4.30pm, FREE to all children)

Coach-led session for children aged 7-9 played with mini red balls (P3-P5). Classes take place on Wednesdays at 3.45pm.

Please book your session if you would like your child to attend. FREE for all children.

Orange Ball Tennis (Wednesday 4.30pm-5.15pm, FREE to all children)

Coach-led session for children aged 9-10 played with mini orange balls (P6). Classes take place on Wednesdays at 4.30pm.

Please book your session if you would like your child to attend. FREE for all children.

Green/Yellow Ball Tennis (Wednesday 5.15pm-6.15pm, FREE to all children)

Coach-led session for children aged 10-15 played with green and/or yellow balls (P7-S3). Classes take place on Wednesdays at 5.15pm.

Free Park Tennis (Saturday 10am-11am)

Free Park Tennis is a new programme that gives more people the chance to play tennis – offering fun, social tennis sessions at a local park court near you for adults and young adults 13+ years.

Sessions are free for all abilities, running for one hour every Saturday and are led by our team of trained volunteers – also known as Free Park Tennis Activators.

FPT Activators will help match you up with partners and opponents that will help more people get active for free and discover their love for tennis.

Adult Coaching For Beginners (Sunday 11am-12pm, £4 for members + £7 for non-members)

Adult Coaching For Beginners is a weekly coach-led session focussing on drills to improve your tactical and technical skills on the court. A beginner has generally been playing less than a year and does not feel competent in a competitive setting.

Run by lead coach Jack Edward, the sessions run on Sundays from 11am-12pm. £4 per session for members and £7 per session for non-members.

Adult Coaching For Improvers (Sunday 12pm-1pm, £4 for members + £7 for non-members)

Adult Coaching For Improvers is a weekly coach-led session focussing on drills to improve your tactical and technical skills on the court. If you have been playing for over a year and feel competent enough to play somewhat competitively, you would be considered an improver.

Run by Level 3 qualified coach Jack Edward, the sessions run on Sundays from 12pm-1pm. £4 per session for members and £7 per session for non-members.

Family Tennis (Sunday 1pm-2pm, FREE to adults and children)

Family Tennis is an opportunity for all the family to come down and play together with the support and supervision of Jack, our coach. These sessions are generally aimed at red ball players (P1 + P2s). All equipment is provided (bring your own racket if you have one). Jack will arrange small games and activities appropriate to ages and abilities.

The session will take place on Sundays at 1pm - 2pm and attendees are welcome to come and go at any point throughout the session but we do ask that you book ahead of attendance.

Adults should accompany children and, if able, take part. FREE to all children and adults.

Tennis For Free (Sunday 2pm-3pm, FREE to members and non-members)

Tennis For Free (12yrs+) is a weekly FREE coach-led scheme initiated by the LTA to be run in public parks. Run by lead coach Jack Edward, an assistant coach and a volunteer, the session includes an hour of coach-led match practice for all abilities aged 12yrs+.
