Last week Oxfordshire under 18's travelled to Nottingham University to take part in the annual Inter Counties Tournament. This years tournament attracted 32 counties with teams playing 9 matches over a 4 day period. Oxfordshire fielded a very young team who will all be eligible to play in next years tournament and despite this they managed some strong performances winning 4 of their 9 matches to finish 23rd overall.  The team was Oliver Butler, Charlie Driver, Matt Dunn, Harry Jones, Ethan Lau, Maddy Cook, Catherine Cousins, Holly Craig, Hannah Jones and Rebecca Norkett.

Badminton England tournaments were also held at the weekend with 5  Oxfordshire boys travelling to Swindon for an under 13 Bronze tournament where they won a total of 9 medals.  Ryan Tao won the boys singles whilst Freddie Driver and partner Ethan Soanes won the boys doubles. Driver also won a bronze in the boys singles whilst Soanes won bronze in the mixed doubles. Other medal winners were Ben Gwilym (boys doubles silver, boys singles bronze and mixed doubles bronze) and Jamie Wakefield (Boys doubles silver).
