You will all be aware that electricity prices have soared recently and this is no different for the Club. We have received notice that our charges are likely to be levied at 4-5 times the current amount, meaning the Club will need to find an additional £10,000+pa until prices start to fall again.

Our main electricity usage is from the floodlights. Please can you assist in reducing our consumption by ensuring that you switch the floodlights off after finishing play. It is very easy to do at the control panel – select the court number using the up and down arrows, then hold 0 and press CLR at the same time. We urge all members to do this before leaving the club and please alert other players if you see them leaving the club without switching their floodlights off.

We are looking into other ways to reduce our electricity costs but in the meantime your cooperation is much appreciated.
