Autumn Coaching Programme 2020

I hope that you’ve enjoyed being back playing tennis over recent months. We’ve all seen a lot of changes due to Covid-19, but fortunately our sport is one that can continue to be played safely. So while remaining in line with the government and LTA’s latest guidance I’m pleased to say we will be re-start the club’s whole coaching programme.

ADULT COACHING PROGRAMME

PAY AND PLAY SESSIONS, CARDIO and TEAM PRACTICE

The full adult autumn programme will restart in the week beginning Monday 7 September. Numbers will be limited to a maximum of 12 per session. For further information on levels, days and times please visit the Adult Coaching page.

JUNIOR COACHING PROGRAMME

The junior autumn programme will start one week later, from Monday 14 September. With there still being some uncertainty surrounding school schedules we’re starting slightly later to give everyone a better idea of what classes may work. Find more details on the Junior Coaching page.

For parents that know their child’s class selection, please click on the link to register and pay. Under the current environment it really is important that all children are registered, paid and we have all details to contact just in case. Those of you who are unsure of what class to choose or would like to discuss options please get in touch and I’ll be happy to help.

CLASSES: All children have now moved up a school year so please check out the programme to ensure the right class.

MONDAY MINI ORANGE SQUAD 5-6:30pm: Those who attended this session and are now in year 5 are invited to join Tuesday Green Squad 4-5:30pm.

THURDAY MINI RED SQUAD 4-5:30pm: Those who attended this session are invited back but you will now move to orange ball on a larger court. Thursday Orange Ball Squad 4-5:30pm.

FRIDAY GREEN SQUAD 5-6:30pm: Those who attended this session are invited back but this will now be Pensford Yellow Squad Friday 5-6:30pm.

NEW COACH

This term we also have a fantastic new coach joining our team - Alastair Hunter. He’ll be delivering some of the adult and junior programme as well as being available for private lessons. Alastair is a Level 4 SCC and has been playing tennis for 20 years and coaching for 9 years in a number of different clubs. His teaching experience involves a range of abilities from beginner juniors to international standard juniors, and beginner adults to adults wanting to hit competitively.

Alastair is a really great addition to the club and I know he’s looking forward to meeting you all. He’ll be joining us from 14 September and his full bio and contact details are here

Once again, if you have any questions, need to organise lessons please do get in touch with myself or one of the other coaches. Our contact details can be found on the Coaching page.

On behalf of all the coaches, we look forward to seeing you back on court.
