About the venue
The park is home to Chelmsford Museum, the Essex Regiment Museum and The Hive Cafe, the cafe offering hot and cold food, drinks, cakes and snacks. The museum is free with lots of free and paid activities throughout the holidays. There are five newly refurbished tennis courts located at Oaklands Park split between two blocks. Courts 1-3 are located in a beautiful secluded walled area. The courts are full size with one of the courts overmarked with mini tennis court. Courts 4 & 5 are located next to the museum and cafe. Free parking is available on site for 2 hours, with other local parking options available for longer periods that are on our website www.chelmsford.gov.uk/museumvisit/chelmsford-museum.
