The dark days of winter may be coming to an end, but our spring evenings will be brighter than ever with refurbished lamps on five of our courts.  After several years of service, and a gradual decline in intensity, we have had bulbs replaced and glass cleaned to restore illumination on courts 1-5 to the original state. 

The work was carried out by Sports Lighting from Brixham in Devon and makes a massive improvement to our evening tennis.

Refurbishment of the lamps on five courts is the first part of a major upgrade of lighting we are undertaking this year.  During the summer we aim to convert the lamps on courts 6, 7 and 8 to LED to reduce our power consumption and improve the illumination quality.  In the Club's 50th year we are at last moving to the latest technology to light the courts!
