About Us
Royal Wootton Bassett Tennis Club is an LTA registered, eight-court, outdoor facility at the Gerard Buxton Sports Ground. We can be found just outside of Royal Wootton Bassett, on the B4042 Brinkworth Road, SN4 8DS.
The club provides an enjoyable, safe and inclusive tennis experience whatever your level of interest. As all courts are floodlit and we play throughout the year.
We welcome both members and non-members to use our courts and we have wide variety of tennis opportunities available.
Social Tennis
Club sessions are held all year round on:
Monday – 11:30 to 13:30
Wednesday – 18:30 to finish
Friday – 18:30 to finish
Non-members are welcome to come and try us out at any of these sessions, please contact to arrange.
The club also run a number of fun tournaments throughout the year as well as our annual club championships. More information can be found on our Events page.
Competitive Tennis
The club is a long-standing member of the Swindon and District League. During the summer season our teams compete in the Mixed, Women’s and Men’s divisions giving members of a wide range of standards an opportunity to play competitive tennis. In addition, we enter teams in the local Mixed Winter League. More information can be found on our members page.
Coaching
We have an extensive coaching programme at the club which runs from Monday through to Saturday throughout the year. For more information can be found on our Coaching page.
Junior Tennis
Junior players are welcome at the club and make up a significant proportion of the club membership. Specific coaching programmes and events are available for our juniors and they may have the opportunity to play in the National Junior Leagues. More information can be found on our Junior Tennis page.
