On Sunday 21st Sandal Lawn tennis club held an 'American Doubles Tennis Tournament'.

This involves players to be initially partnered at random and then play a round robin, swapping playing partners in each round. It is a fun way to get everyone involved where it doesn't matter what Tennis competency you are, as the format allows a level playing field.

There were 26 entrants and numerous spectators on the day, who enjoyed lots of great tennis & refreshments in the glorious weather.

Well done to the overall winners on the day who were Liam Watson & Adam Bedford.

The runners up were Bill Branston & Paul Barker.

Sandal Tennis Club has an open weekend on 15th & 16th July offering free taster sessions and Wimbledon finals viewing party.
