SB Tennis offers high-quality coaching for players of all ages and abilities, with a focus on enjoyment, progress, and building a lasting love for the game. This summer, we’re excited to be running sessions for both children and adults on the beautiful grass courts at Elms Lawn Tennis Club. Sophie will be based at Elms every Wednesday.

Meet the Coach – Sophie Butland
Sophie is an LTA Accredited Level 3 Coach (currently working towards Level 4) with over 13 years of coaching experience. She grew up competing at county and national level, and still occasionally represents her county today. Sophie earned a degree in Sport Science in the United States while on a tennis scholarship. Her coaching journey has taken her across the UK and abroad, including a year coaching in Brisbane, Australia, giving her a broad, adaptable approach to player development. With a strong playing background and years of hands-on coaching, Sophie brings a wealth of experience and passion to every session, helping players of all ages and abilities develop their skills and confidence on court. Sophie currently works as Head of Performance and Adult Tennis at Atlantic Racquet Centre in North Devon and is also a County Coach for Somerset’s U8 and U10 squads.
