January Social Tournament Report

The sun shone

The sky was blue

SHE was on top form

HE was too.

A description of paradise? If not, then most certainly an evocation of the positivity which typically surrounds STC social tournaments, no matter what the weather.

And so it came to pass that 16 players - 9 Adams and 7 Eves - came together on Sunday, 12th January and, exceptionally on our hard courts, to get the NEW YEAR off to the best possible tennis start. The picture below shows these celestial creatures after the tournament, still smiling after so many points!

Despite so many competing to be the angels atop the post-Christmas tree, space there was inevitably limited to the following: joint top scorers Terry Garnett and Steve Robinson for the men and Helen Shelton for the women.
