St Andrew's Tennis Club, Sheffield

Welcome to our club

Introduction

We are a small and friendly LTA registered tennis club situated in a great location on the border of Sheffield 10 and 11 at Graham Road, just off Hangingwater Road. We have two Italian clay courts (the only ones in the Sheffield area) which were upgraded in 2017.

We do not play league tennis, preferring to focus on social tennis with regular sessions for members each week. All of our social tennis sessions are free for members to attend and our facilities are available to members to book and play outside of these times. We do not charge members for hiring of the courts.

The club was formed 100 years ago by St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Sheffield, with which we still have close links.  (http://www.standrewsurcsheffield.org). It has a rich and intriguing history and draws its members from all parts of Sheffield.

We usually open the club in April and close in late October (depending on weather). In the winter, our members regularly play indoors at Graves Tennis Centre in Sheffield.

The club is run entirely by its members who maintain the club and its courts in a true community spirit.

We are pleased to welcome new members and visitors. We offer coaching for beginners, returners - see our coaching page for more details.

If you are interested in joining the club, please drop us a line (view our contacts page)!
