A warm welcome the new members who joined following May’s Great British Tennis Weekend event. Here's a quick look at the tournaments, children's coaching and social events for members' diaries in the coming weeks including the 2017 Piers Draper Tournament and Rounders afternoon.

Comedy Night – Friday, June 23

To celebrate the re-opening of the Pavilion there’s a night of Stand-Up Comedy. Doors open at 6.45pm and the show gets underway at 7.45pm.

LTA Tennis for Kids – Saturday, July 1; Saturday, July 8; Saturday, July 22; 1.00pm to 2.00pm

Coach Matt Evans is running tennis for kids sessions as part of a national initiative by the Lawn Tennis Association. To find out more about these sessions contact Matt directly on 07912 945626.

2017 Piers Draper Tournament – Sunday, July 2

We're pleased to announce the club's annual Piers Draper junior tournament takes place with categories for under-10s (11.00am), and under-12s and under-15s (from 2.00pm). There are trophies for the winners in each age group, and snacks and refreshments will be available during the day.

This tournament is open to any youngsters living in Stewkley or pupils who live outside the village and attend St Michael's.

Family Rounders –  Sunday, July 16; 2.00pm

Free, fun event at the rec. Snacks and refreshments provided. Members and non-members welcome.

Children’s Holiday Camps – Monday, July 24 to Friday, July 28; Monday, Aug. 7 to Friday, Aug. 11

Coach Matt Evans is hosting two weeks of tennis holiday camps for children aged 4 to 12 years.

Sessions run from 9.00am to 12.00 noon, 1.00pm to 4.00pm, or 9.00am to 4.00pm.
