Opt-in to the Wimbledon Ballot

To give the club the chance of getting allocated tickets to next year’s tournament, please can British Tennis Members login to the LTA / British Tennis website and opt-in to the 2019 Wimbledon Ballot.

British Tennis Lite membership is free for Stewkley Tennis Club members and offers benefits besides the draw. I’d encourage those that haven’t done so to sign up on the LTA / British Tennis website (here).

Car Park Access Road Closure – Oct. 22-26

To enable Western Power to install the mains electric cable for the scout hut, BCC plan to close Ivy Lane up to the burial ground car park next week – from Monday, Oct. 22 to Friday, Oct. 26. Andy Dunn and the Scout group passed on their apologies for any inconvenience this might cause.

Tennis for Kids aged 4 to 7 years – starts Nov. 5

Coach Matt is running a six-week Tennis for Kids course for four to seven years old on Monday afternoons from 4.15 p.m. to 5.15 p.m. Aimed at new players, participants get a racquet, T-shirt and balls. The cost is £25. For further details and to sign up, click here.

Do please let any families with youngsters who might be interested know.

Committee Minutes

To allow members to understand what the committee of volunteers has been up to, minutes from the latest meeting are available here.
