St John's Tennis Club recently held its very first golf day and social event, and it was a remarkable success! 

Seven teams of four teed off at the picturesque @sweetwoodsgolfclub while non-golfers enjoyed activities such as golf tuition and a captivating ramble led by the fantastic Roy Patey.

Following a morning filled with fun, we gathered for lunch and had the privilege of an engaging interview with our special guests, Bob 'The Cat' Bevan and Welsh Rugby Legend, John Taylor (JT). 

JT, also the President of Dale Hill Golf Club, generously donated a golf day that raised £200 for the event. The raffle prizes were drawn, and the winners of the golf competition were revealed.

Winners of the golf day:

- Individual Stableford: Steve Jarrett with an impressive 45 points.

- Team Stableford (best three of four cards): Kelvin, Orson, Andy W, & Andy R with an outstanding 120 points.

- Longest drive: John Ainsworth

- Nearest the pin: Kelvin Paterson
 

Together, we raised nearly £1000, supporting the Tunbridge Wells Mental Health Resource with the proceeds from our raffle.
