If you didn't come to the handicap finals you certainly missed out on a good day. The men's doubles was a real nailbiter, lasting nearly almost 2 1/2 hours!

Steve Jarrett braved the rain to run his "older junior" tournament to start the day off.  The young juniors competition unfortunately had to be called off as it was just too wet. However, the 15+ age group are made of stern stuff and managed to complete their competition despite the damp. This was an amazing experience for some of them who have never played in a competitive situation before.

Fortunately the weather finally cleared and the adults' handicap competition was played in the dry. As if by magic, when the medals were handed out the sun shone, and as you can see in the picture above of the very happy band of finalists
