As set out in the January newsletter, the Committee felt that CCTV should be installed for the safety of the club, its members and all users. This will happen shortly, but we thought we ought to let you know some details:
- The recorded footage only to be available to intruder alarm responders and the club captain. The footage may be made available to police is a serious incident has occurred. Bar staff will have access to a live system monitor.
- The footage will be retained for one week.
- The CCTV system will be used solely for security and not for monitoring individuals.
- The club will ensure compliance with privacy laws.
- There are security measures for footage protection and encryption.
- Complaints or queries regarding CCTV usage to be referred to the management committee.
- Regular compliance checks at least every six months.
