COURT BOOKING RULES & TERMS OF USE
Seaford Town Council is committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all players and spectators at our tennis courts. For your own safety and to help us maintain a positive playing environment, please take a moment to read through our Terms & Conditions.
All Bookings
- Courts are booked in 1-hour slots
- All players are required to register through the ClubSpark system and book a court before playing
- You must book a court online before you play by heading to Court Bookings, and clicking on an available time slot. The court booking process will take you through to registering or signing-in to finalise your booking
- You will receive a booking confirmation email with the gate access code
- Please either print the booking confirmation of take a mobile phone that can display the booking confirmation as proof of the court booking
- The gate access code is valid 10 minutes before your court booking, and throughout your court booking
- If after booking you find that you are no longer able to play, please cancel your booking so that others may use the court
- A 24-hour cancellation policy applies whereby refunds will be given. Refunds will be processed automatically and made within 7 working days
- The Town Council reserves the right to cancel any booking if the need arises. An email will be sent to the member notifying them of such
- Floodlights will be on for 5 minutes after the end of each booking, unless there is a booking afterwards, in which case they’ll remain on
- The Town Council reserves the right to pre-book the courts for coaching, events and maintenance
- If you’ve booked a court and you can’t play because the courts have been closed please email us at admin@seafordtowncouncil.gov.uk
- Parents and guardians take full responsibility for the welfare & security of their children who are aged 14 and under, when they are on the Park Tennis courts
- Closures of any court/venue for any type of court works or due to damage will not result in refunds or pass extensions
- Any players found trying to access or using the courts when they are closed will have their passes and bookings cancelled without refund
- If you breach any of our guidance’s or terms the Council reserves the right to cancel all memberships, packages & bookings without refund
- The Council reserves the right to close tennis courts for any reason
- By booking and using or playing with someone under their booking, on any of our tennis courts, you are accepting all of our terms and safe to play guidance
Court Rules
- Players are encouraged to bring water bottles and to drink regularly to stay hydrated. A water refill station is located adjacent to the Salts toilets
- Avoid playing in extremes of heat, for example temperatures over 30C
- In hot weather we recommend the use of SPF30+ sunscreen
- Players should wear appropriate sports clothing and footwear when on court. Tops must be worn at all times even in hot weather
- No bicycles, roller blades, skateboards or such like on the courts
- Smoking is not permitted on the courts
- Food, glass or alcoholic beverages are not permitted on the courts
- Take off the court everything you take on – including all balls and general litter (bins located outside The Salts Cafe)
- No pets allowed within tennis courts
- Junior players (14 years and under) must be supervised by an adult at the courts at all times as per the LTA Safeguarding Standard
- Players play tennis at their own risk and are asked to apply common sense in looking out for themselves and other players at all times
- Players should comply with the principles of fair play, both on and off the courts
- Noisy behaviour and foul language will not be tolerated, and a player may be asked to leave the court
- Players are requested to arrive in time for the start of their session and to vacate the court immediately if another person has booked the following time slot
- Ensure the court gate is closed properly when you enter and leave
- No person may professionally coach others for financial gain on any court other than the Town Council’s approved coach
- Players are requested to report any damage on the courts to Seaford Town Council admin@seafordtowncouncil.gov.ukil
