Thornton Lawn Tennis Club

Set in peaceful grounds on Lime Grove in Thornton Cleveleys you will find our newly refurbished tennis courts and clubhouse.  The club comprises of two hard courts and a well maintained clubhouse.   Within our clubhouse we have male and female changing rooms (plus showers) , a tv room/spectators gallery and a kitchen.

The club has its own ball machine for members use, a table tennis table and also a tennis practice net.  We also have outdoor furniture and heaters for the summer months.

The club offer different memberships to suit different cohorts  i.e. Adult and Junior memberships, Summer memberships, Student memberships, County memberships and Parent memberships.  Members also receive the flexibility to pay by direct debit or through a one off payment.

Our club coach Simon Ardon is very well known in the Fylde/Blackpool area and also coaches at local schools.  He delivers coaching to juniors on Saturday mornings, plus is available on request to undertake private coaching. 

New for 2022-2023 will see our club coach Simon facilitating coaching sessions for adult members during the working week. - details to follow...

The club is very proud in being part of the Fylde Tennis League.  We normally enter five mens teams, two ladies teams and a junior team into each competative season, and are able to do this through our members great appetite for tennis.  We have teams playing at all levels and abilities throughout the divisions.

We have also entered the National Tennis League this year and have submitted a seniors mens team featuring players from our mens 1st team.

We have a lively social events calendar for members to take part in social activities throughout the year, and well as a yearly Peter Mason Memorial Tournament.

The club hosts its own Club Championships each year along with two social tennis slots per week, where all members are welcome.  We have Whatsapp accounts to enable members to communicate and book practive sessions together, and we have a court booking system on this website facility.

We are a small club in stature but pride ourselves in being very friendly and welcoming to new members of all abilities.
