Junior Tennis
Select and book a Junior Tennis Group Lesson.
There are four levels of Junior-Tennis; Red, Orange, Green and Yellow, each with their own court size and type of ball. At each level the game is tailored to the age-group, with appropraite skills and drills. This will allow your child to develop in an environment where they are surrounded by players of a similar ability as well as being able to make new friends who are of similar age.
Red - for 2-7 year olds
You can fit 4 Red-Level tennis courts on a full-sized tennis court. The Red level is designed for players up to 8 years and uses slightly larger and low-bouncing Red balls to help keep the ball where young players can hit it. The focus is on skills and hand-eye-coordination development.
Orange - for 9-10 year olds
The next level is Orange and uses approximatelty 3/4 of a full-sized tennis court. The ball has a lower compression, keeping it from bouncing over young players’ heads. The age range for Orange ball play is 8-10 year olds.
Green - for 10-11 year olds
The next level is Green and is played on a full-sized singles court. The Green ball is compressed at 75% of a standard yellow ball., and is best suited for players 10 years and older. It is also a good training ball for older beginners, including adults.
Yellow - for 12 years and above
The final level is the Yellow ball, the same as what the pro's use, and is introduced when the young player is able to control the ball confidently.
We play at many locations and have multiple options of each lesson every single week of the year. All your child needs to bring is a full water bottle and be wearing a pair of shoes they are comfortable running in.
We suggest booking a single lesson to start with, then we can discuss the best onward class for your child.
