Safeguarding Information

At Titwood, we pride ourselves on being a friendly and inclusive club that welcomes diversity.

The issue of Safeguarding is something the Committee has tackled seriously and we’ve taken steps to ensure we’re adhering to changing legislation.

Essentially, safeguarding is used to define actions taken to protect vulnerable groups from harm. This harm might come from adults or other children, it’s important we understand what safeguarding is and why it’s important.

Our welfare officer, Emma Purcell and club committee chair, Mike Ritchie met with Tennis Scotland’s National Safeguarding Officer recently to review the updated measures in place at Titwood.

We are pleased to say that what we have in place met with positive feedback and we welcomed some additional pieces of advice that emerged during the discussion.

We wanted to advise you of the meeting and to remind you that any matters relating to safeguarding can be found on the club website here:

Emma’s contact details are on the same website page and we will include the email link on all club communications.
