Welfare and Policies
Code of Conduct
- We play tennis to have fun, to keep fit and to make friends.
- Remember, it’s only a game – if you feel yourself losing your temper, take a break.
- Be a good sport - applaud all good play and effort, including your opponent’s.
- Always warm up properly before playing.
- Be friendly and welcoming to new members.
- Set a good example for younger members.
- Be polite and do not use bad language or be offensive or abusive to others.
- The courts are in a residential area. Please park in our car park if possible, and be considerate if parking a vehicle on the street. Don’t be too noisy (especially if you are playing early in the morning or later in the evening).
- Children under the age of 12 may not use the courts unsupervised.
- If your children are using the courts (other than during designated coaching sessions), you are responsible for their behaviour and safety.
- Be familiar with the club's safeguarding policy and report any concerns to one of the club’s welfare committee (see below).
- Report any injuries to torrancetennisclub1@gmail.com
