Welfare and Policies

Code of Conduct

  • We play tennis to have fun, to keep fit and to make friends.
  • Remember, it’s only a game – if you feel yourself losing your temper, take a break.
  • Be a good sport - applaud all good play and effort, including your opponent’s.
  • Always warm up properly before playing.
  • Be friendly and welcoming to new members.
  • Set a good example for younger members.
  • Be polite and do not use bad language or be offensive or abusive to others.
  • The courts are in a residential area. Please park in our car park if possible, and be considerate if parking a vehicle on the street. Don’t be too noisy (especially if you are playing early in the morning or later in the evening).
  • Children under the age of 12 may not use the courts unsupervised.
  • If your children are using the courts (other than during designated coaching sessions), you are responsible for their behaviour and safety.
  • Be familiar with the club's safeguarding policy and report any concerns to one of the club’s welfare committee (see below).
  • Report any injuries to torrancetennisclub1@gmail.com
