SPONSORED TENNIS-ATHON

Sponsored 12 hour Tennis-athon 7am to 7pm

We are calling on the entire membership to participate in a fun sponsored tennis event to help raise funds for the resurfacing of our front courts, which will require to be replaced in approximately 4 years. The committee has established a sinking fund, ring fenced to meet this cost, however we estimate there is likely to be a shortfall. We have held a number of fundraising events already and will continue to do so, in order to bolster funds, but our proposed Tennis-Athon is an initiative which will allow our entire membership to be collectively involved.

We hope you will be generous enough to make a donation, but more importantly we want you to participate on the day. This will be a great opportunity for our various groups to come together for our common cause. Whether you're a Senior, Junior, U25, OIR, Associate or Country member, please mark the date in your diary and come along, even just for half an hour, or longer, or you may even wish to attend multiple tennis sessions throughout the day. We are counting on your support and look forward to seeing you on court.

The challenge is to have tennis played continuously on the front courts from 7am till 7pm, with the Juniors actively involved during the normal Saturday morning coaching slot. Nearer the time we will organise a rota system and ask people to book through "Bookwhen" to help manage court time.

One of our members has generously pledged a significant amount already, so we're off to a flying start!
