Easter Promotional event at Trinity

Monday 17th April - a taste of Wimbledon came to Wakefield over the bank holiday at the Trinity Centre in Wakefield. The Wakefield School of Tennis were at Trinity in order to promote their Easter Camps as well as their tennis coaching program for players of all ages in the area.

‘Wakefield and surrounding area has a strong sporting passion, although mainly for rugby’, said Mark Gledhill, Wakefield School of Tennis Coach ‘…we’re hoping to tap into the athletic potential and transferable skills of players of all ages’ and change some perceptions of the game.

With more promotional activities in the pipeline now the weather is getting better. Such as;

  • Tennis for Kids (at Lightwaves)
  • Great British Tennis Weekend

Both events will be FREE and nationally promoted by the sport’s governing body – the Lawn Tennis Association. (LTA)
