Dear Members,

I hope that you are enjoying the summer weather and getting plenty of court time (when it is fair) as well as watching the best tennis at Wimbledon.

We are planning a couple of events in the next few months.

First we are having a Charity and Fundraising Race Night which is to be held at Walton Village Hall on 30th September starting at 7.00pm. Tickets will be £10 to include buffet supper. There will be 8 races which will be screened in the hall. Tickets can be purchased from the bar at the clubhouse through any committee member or requested by email from Carol Stanley (caroltennis@hotmail.co.uk) and paid for online. All Tickets will be sent by email and are available to members and non-members so get a group together!

We are also planning a Family Fun Morning on 17th September, 9-11am to encourage new junior and senior members to join the club. Please let family and friends know of this opportunity to try out tennis at our friendly club.

Although there has been a lot of work done around the courts and clubhouse (many of you will have noticed the improvements to the fencing), we are planning another Club Clean up day on October 7th to get a few more jobs done. More details to follow.

There is plenty of competitive activity with good progress in the club championships which we intend to complete in September and the teams are well into their matches. Keep an eye open on Facebook and the club website for details of these as they welcome your support.

Finally, a special thank you for all those who have generously donated flower baskets and tubs. I am sure you will agree they brighten up the clubhouse surrounds.
