2023 Summer Tennis Tournament

Warwick Boat Club is happy to announce that the 2023 Summer Tennis Tournament Registration is now open for WBC members.  2022's Tournament entry was a record 212 (around 25% of Tennis membership) and some 300 matches were played on the road to Finals Day.

The competition will run during May and June and culminate with Finals Day taking place on Saturday 1st July.  Registration will be similar to previous years with members doing so on the ClubSpark platform which has been used by tennis, rowing and bowls for their booking requirements for some six years.  Entrants will receive emails containing confirmations of entry and further details of organisation during the ensuing weeks.

The ClubSpark webpages will be the main platform of information, however as the club transitions to a new IT system 'myClubhouse', we will seek to integrate both platforms as the switch of booking tennis courts is planned for mid-April.

Registration and payment for the Summer Club Tournament will therefore be made online through ClubSpark.  This year food will be provided to all entrants on Finals Day and the entrance fee will be a single fee of £15, and members can enter up to four events from the possible ten.

Registration has three simple steps which are explaing below and the office and other contacts are provided to answer any questions members may have. Menus on the Tournament webpage will initially provide details of the Tournament Rules and subsequently contain the online Results.

TO REGISTER..........JUST FOLLOW THE THREE STEPS BELOW:

This Registration will not work from the the Booker App.

STEP 1 - First register to compete in the 2023 Summer Tournament by clicking the following Link. Register your Overall Entry for the Tournament .....then return to this menu page to select your events.

You will receive a confirmation email once this initial registration is completed.  Details of each round's completion dates will be published once the size of each entry is known.  Finals Day will be Saturday 1st July.

STEP 2 - Once you have registered for the tournament, you can select and enter up to 4 events from the following list by highlighting each under-lined event (below) in turn. Select to enter from the following links:

5. Mixed Open Doubles
6. Ladies Handicap Singles

STEP 3 - Having registered for your event(s), if you have selected a 'doubles' event please inform the club of your partner/event.

You can either send one email for all relevant events (listing partner/event) or multiple emails at different times:

Entries will be accepted for events, up to and inclusive of the entry deadline date of Saturday 22nd April.  The draw will be published by  Monday 1st May. The initial draws will be published/displayed both online and on the Tennis Noticeboard, and results subsequently updated on a regular basis.  Each round will have target deadlines which will be closely managed by Gavin.
