Changing Rooms

USE OF CHANGING FACILITIES POLICY

This policy applies to all staff, coaches, volunteers, players, parents/carers and any other individuals associated with WTTC.
The Wrekin and Telford Tennis Club (WTTC) makes use of the Telford Tennis Centre as its tennis playing location. This is a site run by Telford and Wrekin Council, offering limited facilities. There are no designated changing rooms or showers, but there are separate toilet rooms for females and males, which may be used for changing on an occasional basis.
The Club strives to ensure that all children (anyone under 18) are safeguarded from abuse and have an enjoyable tennis experience.
This document sets out the policy for the acceptable use of our changing rooms.
1. The expectation of the Club is that adults and juniors will normally dress for tennis at
home and are unlikely to need to use changing facilities.
2. On the rare occasions that it is necessary to make use of the very limited facilities,
then use can be made of the room in which the toilet cubicles are located, or changing
can take place within a cubicle.
3. Please note that this is a public facility, and it is not possible to exclude
non-WTTC members from the toilet areas.
4. If juniors (aged 14-18) have any difficulty or doubts about this, they should talk to any
adult member of the club to seek reassurance and help in dealing with this.
5. If WTTC is made aware that a child or adult self-identifies as a gender that differs from
the gender they were assigned at birth, we will work with them and their
parents/carers (where it relates to a child) to make any reasonable adjustments
which can be achieved.
Mobile phones and other photographic devices must not be used in changing rooms.
