JAMIE COSTA

Head Coach 

 

Jamie is an LTA Level 3 Accredited+ Coach, currently completing his Senior Coach Level 4 qualification. He is a passionate and enthusiastic coach who believes everyones tennis in important, and is motivated to ensure players love their time on court. Jamie is a Senior Nike Tennis Coach, meaning he is responsible for coaching with the Nike ethos and values, a testament to his on-court quality. He has experience with club programme creation, organisation and delivery, as a previous acting Head Coach for his home tennis club in West Sussex. His playing experience is has seen him reach the later stages of the Road the Wimbledon competition, national tournaments and play in some international tournaments. Jamie is originally from Sussex and has represented the county at all age groups. He has trained with and against some of the best in the world; Albert Ramos-Vinolas and Jack Draper. 

Jamie has used his indpeth knowledge of tennis to secure varying positions over the years. He has worked for IBM at the All England Club, collecting statistics at the Wimbledon Championships, he was both Team Captain and Club Captain for Leeds Beckett University Tennis Team, one of the biggest in the country and is linked with multiple ATP coaches in Barcelona, providing training opportunities to those who either want to train full-time or have a taster of what it is like, after training in Barcelona himself twice a year for 10 years previously. Jamie is a true believer of on-court quality and is keen to share his knowledge with his players. His aim is to provide opportunities to all and inspire the current and next generations. 

 


 

SAM LLEWELLYN

Assistant Coach

 

Sam is a great role model for tennis, he loves the sport and shares his passion through coaching. Sam has played in the top division in the Leeds League and Yorkshire Leagues. He has a background in education and teaching and thoroughly enjoys inspiring children to play tennis. Sam is a huge advocate for outdoor learning as wildlife is his second love as well as sport. Sam needs any excuse to be outside! He is working towards his LTA Level 2 coaching qualification whilst working as an outdoor educator.
